Rolling hills, scenic rim rocks, and timbered mountains….the vast area of remote Eastern Oregon creates the backdrop for a trip you’ll remember forever. We hunt on lands ranging from the historic Oregon Trail to isolated mountains soaring up to 7000 feet in elevation.
Bow season begins around September 1st
Rifle (deer) season begins around October 1st
Rifle (elk) season runs from late October through mid-November
High Lonesome Hunts offers both rifle and archery hunts and has hunting rights on 100,000 acres of private property including permits to use BLM land.
We realize that some hunts are tougher than others, and may require considerable walking and climbing. We’ll keep that in mind and adjust the hunt to your pace and physical ability. Lodging arrangements depend on the trip you book. For most hunts we stay in mountain cabins with all the comforts of home. In either case, you can be assured of excellent meals and secure accommodations.
